1930 Reproduction Prints ~ Feed Sack Prints ~ Retro
They're here ! Take your pick.
My Grandmother In Laws inspired me to learn how to quilt. They had lots of a quilts they had made entirely by hand with feed sacks. If you're not familiar with this ~ a Feed Sack is a large cloth bag that the food would come in to feed the livestock. When it was done they saved the cloth sack & made quilts with the fabric. Surprisingly enough, these sacks were made with brightly colored floral fabrics.
Today Moda designers, like American Jane & Chloe's Closet, recreate prints that are reminiscent of these feed sack fabrics from years ago. They are truly some of my favorites & I'm always adding to my collection of swatches to keep on hand.
