Today I want to share some release fabrics from QT Fabrics. The collection is called A Portrait of Petals. I was drawn to this collection because of the floral panel. Summer has left and fall is here. The French told us at the end of August that summer heat waves, canicules, had broken. It’s now September so the heat will be gone they said. I thought that was bold foretelling but they’ve been right. No more hot weather. Just like that. I've been having fun lately creating versatile designs that can use 2 1/2" strips OR 10" squares. This month I put together Butterfly Garden featuring Crystal Manning's Garden Society prints. The pattern will give you directions & cutting for using either 2 1/2" strips or 10" squares. It also allows for some strip quilting if you are using the 2 1/2" strips. I’ve spent the last 25 years surrounded by fabric. While being meticulous about trying to save every tiny little scrap of fabric, I admit to getting lax. Not so much about being wasteful (still saving those scraps), but not worrying about cutting errors. Slip and it’s just a few paces over to the bolts or grab another charm pack.
